Mechanical pencils swept the top three places in GetNavi’s 2026 stationery election. Sun-Star’s Shindbat won, KAYOU+ AIMVISION PRO was runner-up, and LAMY safari KURUTOGA inside placed third.
Organizer One Publishing announced the results on June 24. Readers and consumers voted online from March 24 through April 26, choosing among 71 nominated products across seven categories. Official results.
Three different ways to stand out
Shindbat makes room for more lead: the organizer’s product description specifies capacity for up to 40 pieces. AIMVISION PRO takes a construction-led approach, with a machined brass body, a short clip, and a grip combining knurling with rubber.
LAMY’s third-place entry combines the safari design with Mitsubishi Pencil’s rotating-lead Kuru Toga mechanism. The organizer also named it the premium mechanical-pencil category winner. Two of the overall top three came from that premium category.
An award with a retail presence
The results are accompanied by displays and sales of winning products in Aeon and Aeon Style stationery departments in Honshu and Shikoku. Aeon Supercenter stores are excluded; the organizer warns that some products may require ordering or be unavailable.
The vote measures preference among nominees, rather than market share or laboratory performance. Even with that limit, a pencil-only podium is a strong result in an award spanning tools for writing, storage, cutting and more. It also puts those products in front of shoppers, beyond the announcement itself.
