KAYOU+ is extending AIMVISION beyond pencils with an aluminum lead case priced at ¥1,980 including Japanese tax. The accessory combines a contents window with a dial for identifying the lead inside.
The August 25 announcement schedules advance sales at Loft from August 29, followed by wider Japanese distribution in September. Three finishes are listed: Onyx Black, Titanium Gold and Alloy Silver. Company release.
Specifications and rollout
The maker lists a 10 mm diameter, 82 mm length and 5 g weight.
The dial borrows a visual and tactile idea from AIMVISION pencils. On the case, its job is identification: set it as a reminder of what you have put inside. The setting is manual: it identifies the contents the owner has loaded.
The small details do the work
The side window lets the owner see the remaining supply without removing the cap. The cap has a step intended to make the case easier to pull out of a pen holder, and the 10 mm tube is designed to sit alongside a pencil in a case.
KAYOU+ says it carried over the clicking feel of the AIMVISION dial as well as its appearance. That turns a familiar pencil control into an accessory for organizing consumables: the window answers how much is left, while the dial records what is inside.
The three finish names describe colors. In particular, Titanium Gold does not change the announced body material from aluminum to titanium. At ¥1,980, this is a separately priced accessory for the AIMVISION range; the release does not announce a new lead formulation.
