Mitsubishi Pencil began shipping Kuru Toga Dive Full Black on September 16, 2026, at a Japanese reference price of ¥7,700 including tax. That is ¥2,200—or 40%—above the ¥5,500 reference price for the four other continuing colors.
The manufacturer’s product page distinguishes shipment from shop availability: arrivals can take more than a week after dispatch.
What the extra ¥2,200 changes
Full Black remains a 0.5 mm Dive with automatic lead advance and five feed settings. Its model designation is M5-7000 1P. The barrel has a matte painted finish; the clip is plated, and the slider, dial cover and end rings receive black plating in place of the silver finish on the other continuing versions.
Uni’s FAQ also includes a care distinction: friction and contact during use or carrying can change the appearance of the matte surface. The company says the continuing-production Dive lineup does not use a self-repairing coating.
Continuing production, variable availability
Full Black joins the continuing range, and Mitsubishi Pencil says shipments will continue. It is not presented as a numbered or one-off edition.
The company also says it does not sell Dive directly, including through its official online shop, and cannot provide individual retailers’ stock information. Its ¥7,700 Japanese reference price is therefore a benchmark for comparing a seller’s offer, rather than a promise of immediate direct availability.
