# Platinum schedules its official online store for May 18

[Platinum](https://www.platinum-pen.co.jp/?ref=news.knockology.com) is adding a direct sales channel with an official online store, announced May 15 and scheduled to open **May 18 at 10 a.m.** The company’s opening notice highlights fountain pens and multifunction writing instruments.

For the manufacturer behind the [Pro-Use](https://www.platinum-pen.co.jp/?ref=news.knockology.com) pencil range, the move adds a company-operated shop alongside its established retail presence. It creates another route to customers, although the announcement does not promise that the entire mechanical-pencil or replacement-parts catalog will be available.
