Staedtler Japan will raise prices on selected products on July 1, including familiar drafting pencils and the parts that keep them working. Its June 1 notice cites repeated increases in raw-material and transport costs.
The accompanying list goes well beyond complete pencils. It includes leads, erasers, nose assemblies and knock parts—a useful reminder that a price revision can reach the maintenance drawer, too.

The small components add up
Listed silver-series replacement nose assemblies move from ¥350 to ¥400. The corresponding 925 25 knock parts rise from ¥300 to ¥350. The list also includes selected Avante-garde components and drafting equipment.
This is a selected-product revision, not a blanket percentage increase across Staedtler. Model codes matter: the 925 15 rows, for example, should not be treated as a price announcement for every limited metal edition carrying that family name.
